All Hail Galvatron!

Back at it, again! I had to let motorcycles #1 and #2 go and upgrade to motorcycle #3! And before J gets to cracking, the Suzuki was running when I sold it! Only the ZX9 was out of commission. But I couldn't go back to a 600 after thrashing in 3 different states on a 900cc/141hp machine! So ya boy upgraded to the arguable King of Beasts from the unofficial "Speed War" between the Japanese motorcycle manufacturers and copped the Kawasaki ZX12R - the first motorcycle to be limited to 186 mph (not that I plan to ever see that fast, really).

U.O.E.N.O. but I'm a hardcore pack rat. Bikes 1 and 2 were just sitting - 1 wrecked and 1 dead battery. I swore up and down that I was gonna get them back on the road but 7 months went by without me so much as even making a purchase toward that goal. I ho-hummed with J all winter about getting an old school Monte Carlo or a Cutlass so women can start wearing dresses on dates (and so I could date during the winter) but that obviously didn't work out. I thought I would just get a car and re-up on a bike next year but I'm a rider and I'll never be satisfied with 4 wheels and a cage.

I could have fixed them, hell, I have before but other things are going on for me right now. Letting go of something was a big deal for me but it lead to bigger and better so I just may have turned a new leaf from my, ahem, ratting ways.

My homegirl asked me why didn't I get a new/newer bike. Easy, I have a list and I'm working my way through it:
Buy 1st bike - check
ZX9 - check
ZX12 - check
2004-2005 ZX10 aka "The Widow Maker" - to be owned
RC51 - to be owned
2007-2008 R1 - to be owned
2004-2005 GSX-R 750 - to be owned

Get the picture? And the list goes on.

I'm no bike night cruiser either. I'll shoot to Charlotte or wherever else is within a day's journey to hang out with my peoples. I bought the ZX9 with 5k on the odo and just under 2 years later when I wrecked it/sold it for parts it was working on 26k miles! North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and even Alabama you are being put on notice: Galvatron is coming!

And shout out to J for dubbing my newest edition after the reincarnated leader of the Decepticons. I really didn't know what to call it but definitely wanted to stick to the Decepticon theme.

On another note, Craigslist > eBay! I've bought all 3 of my bikes (plus a laptop, a home entertainment center, a massage) off Craigslist and have nothing but good experiences with honest people from the online classified ads.

See you on the road!

Steve
