Second Look: Adopting Terror

Now that 2012 is coming to a close I, just like countless other humans, have entered a very reflective state. Aside from a few personal challenges, my look back to 2012 includes a lot of moviegoing - that said, this was a big year for movie buffs! From the Avengers finally assembling to the Dark Knight Rising; motion pictures were all the rage in 2012.

I've also noticed that, my perspective on movies has changed quite a bit. Up until the last 12 months, I was always caught up in the status quo when it came to my movie choices.

The Work Wife

Ah the work wife.

Yes, I'm about to go there!  I am about to bust up an age old practice that people acknowledge but simply don't talk about.  After all, to bring it up is about as taboo as discussing anal sex with devout Christians.  To mention it at any point to a significant other or supervisor will most likely result in a blank stare followed by an awkward stare, followed by a ...  You get the picture.

If you've ever searched online for workouts, health, and fitness you were probably overwhelmed by the amount of information out there and just wanted to know what or who's right. Well, over the past 10 months I learned that I'm right - my body that is. During that time I committed to stick to a muscle building program, no matter the results, just to see how my body responded and I learned that, for me:

Thank Goodness for Rasheed Wallace

I for one am pleased that the New York Knicks' Rasheed Wallace was eject from their December 2nd match up against the Phoenix Suns, but not because I hate "Sheed"; more so because I love what his return from retirement brings to NBA Basketball.  The December 2nd ejection marked the 31st time in his career he's been removed from a professional basketball game by an on-court official and I simply loved it.
