Fanboy Geekout: Ironman 3

So a few days ago, Marvel Studios unveiled the new trailer for Ironman 3.  After going frame by frame on my DVR, I have reached the conclusion that this will be the Ironman movie that fans have wanted since the beginning.  For starters, we finally get the Mandarin!  Actually, that's about all that needs to be said!


If you're like me, you've wanted to see Ironman's number one enemy since the first trailer was released years ago.  From the looks of things, Ben Kingsley will star opposite Robert Downey, Jr. as his most powerful foe yet.  The trailer also seems to hint at the fact the Mandarin has acquired all 10 of the Makluan rings which should position him to be a very challenging foe for Tony Stark.

Now that the Avengers have assembled and the full Marvel Universe has been established on the big screen, I'm anxious to see how the movie incorporates the technology and supernatural elements of the Mandarin's rings.  It also appears that Tony has upgraded his armor yet again to what may be a live action version of his Extremis armor, allowing him to control the armor with just his thoughts.

Be sure to check out the trailer and chime in with your thoughts.  I'll be keeping a close watch on anything Ironman 3 and sharing my thoughts.  I'm looking forward to this movie and hope that Marvel Studios continues it's run as arguably the best comic-to-movie franchise on Earth!
